About
HEY, I’M SHANETTE!
A photographer for over 8 years, living in the South Eastern parts of Melbourne, Victoria. Away from the camera you will find me spending time with family and friends, being a human slave to two cheeky bunnies - Simba & Milkshake, trying to solve the next escape room, and tasting cocktails at new bars and restaurants.
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
Before I delved into photography, I studied film and tv for three years where I took on roles as producer, editor and production designer on short films. I dabbled in a bit of modelling and shortly realised I preferred to be behind the lens. One day I decided to invest in a camera, my first one being a Canon 6D, and would use every opportunity I had to experiment doing photoshoots with family and friends. With experience both in front and behind the camera, this has given me the ability to help my clients not only look amazing, know where to place their hands and how to stand a certain way, but ultimately feel comfortable being in front of the camera as I know what it feels like to not be.
MY PURPOSE
I have found my strength of storytelling in more indirect ways, such as writing and in this case, unraveling every unique love story with a camera in my hand. It’s so important to me that I let every couples personalities shine and that is why I lean more towards a style that is authentic, feels effortless, and makes you both feel like yourselves on the day, just all dressed up.
Your wedding day is full of important decisions. One of them is selecting a photographer. We are generally the only vendor on the day that are with you from start to finish, so making sure you vibe and connect with whoever you choose will play a big part in the experience you have.
My number one priority is for my couples to enjoy their special day and have their precious moments to look back on. I’ll be the extra friend/bridesmaid you never knew you needed, holding your dress, making sure your hair isn’t out of place, pinning flowers on suits and providing you with a calm approach to ease the nerves.
